Over the last 2 quarters, I’ve reviewed or engaged in 19 budget & business planning streams. Four (4) interesting tidbits about their final budgets/plans…

1. Growth companies and performance execs start with talent planning first and culture/soft skills as a compass.

2. Ecosystem planning is finally recognized by more mainstream growth and enterprise organizations alike…more here later from me later this year.

3. Contingency plans on tighter access to money are incorporated into business plans.

4. Operational margins and profitability are more mindfully planned to position for future financing options.

Companies: $20M – $500M in annual revenue, vary by industry, nearly all growing by double digits over the last five years.
